Employment and Training

Central General Practice is a teaching practice with emphasis on registrars and medical students. We are affiliated with Bogong Regional Training Network and Melbourne University. We aim to provide registrars and students with a comprehensive range of medical training.

  • Working at Central General Practice

    The practice prides itself on staff retention, which is achieved by providing a safe and peer supported workplace. We also welcome staff who wish to learn and develop on the job and move to other opportunities when they arise.

     

  • Student and Registrar Training

    This Practice provides registrars and students with a comprehensive range of medical training. Students consult with patients alongside their supervising doctors. Patients will be advised at time of booking appointment if they are seeing a student doctor.

  • Life in Mansfield

    Mansfield is one of the most vibrant small communities in Victoria. The Mansfield District prides itself as the home of a community which welcomes newcomers and visitors, and it has very active arts and sporting communities. A vibrant main street boasts a wide array of goods and services, as well as a bookshop, library and many fine cafes and restaurants.

    Further afield, the district offers many mountain and river walks and mountain biking / motorbiking / horseriding routes, and is the terminus of Australia’s longest continuous rail trail. Kayaking is also popular. It also boasts seasonal variation with boating and waterskiing on Lake Eildon being popular in the summer and snowsports on Mt Buller in the winter.
